My client a NHS Trust based
in London is seeking a Family Oral Health Promoter Team Leader
on an interim 3 month basis.
The postholder will be expected to lead a team delivering
an innovative oral health outreach programme for children
up to 8 years of age. This exciting new approach is part
of a new programme; an ambitious development, to improve
the oral health of children in the borough. It will have
close and effective links with a full range of health care
and educational providers. The post holder will be expected
to work alongside partners including Schools, Nurseries and,
Children’s Centres., It is also important that this
role fully engages with parents, general practitioners, midwives,
health visitors and school nurses.. It is essential the role
works closely with the clinical leads for dentistry in the
borough, as well as building on relationships with our local
dental practices.
Applicants must be a qualified Dental Therapist or Hygienist.
The post holder will be expected to expand and develop the
Team and lead on all aspects of Team Management.
Candidates will be required to undergo extended CRB
checks and Child Protection training to Level 2.
As this is a new and developing programme, they are looking
for a strong self starter, with commitment, enthusiasm and
vision. Excelling in leadership, the successful candidate
will be expected to lead a team whilst contributing to the
strategic direction of the service. Their aim is to develop
this programme into a UK recognised model of innovation and
success.
